A partner drops it with no countdown. You catch it. Do three trials and write the centimeter where your fingers close. You are not training for a number on a chart. You are waking up the same stop response you need for red. If the three trials get steadily worse, you are bored or guessing. Stop. If they stay wildly far apart, you are anticipating on some trials and waiting on others. The doll will punish both. The ruler makes that visible without a score popup.

Rest a minute, then play three attempts. The transfer is not magic and it is not instant. The useful sign is a release that starts before you have finished thinking “red.” If the game still shows a release that begins after the catch animation, the ruler did not transfer today. Try again another day. Do not do thirty ruler drops to force it. Fatigue will make the drops worse and the game worse together.

Sprint-and-stop line in a hallway

Mark a line on the floor. Jog toward it and stop with both feet on the near side when a partner calls stop. The call is uneven. This is the full-body version of releasing a key. People who need three steps after the call will need three extra frames after red. They can still play. They should tap, not sprint, inside the game. The hallway tells them which kind of player they are today. The game does not have to be the place you discover you cannot stop a sprint.

No stacking the ruler and a personal-best attempt

Do not do the ruler, the hallway, and a personal-best attempt in the same half hour. The best attempt wants fresh hands. The drills spend them. Pick one drill and a few ordinary attempts, or pick a best-attempt day with no drill. A day that tries to be both produces a mediocre log and a sore wrist. The calendar can hold both kinds of days. The same hour should not.

Writing the centimeter next to the landmark

Put the ruler centimeters and the game landmark on the same line: “caught near 28 cm, reached the cone.” Over a week you may see the centimeters improve before the cone becomes the hallway. That lag is normal. The hand is getting earlier and the game is still a new context. If the centimeters improve and the game gets worse, you are probably tensing the whole arm on the keyboard. Shake the arm out. Tension is a slow release pretending to be focus.

Hallway call that arrives mid-stride

Have the partner call stop when your front foot is in the air, not when you are already gathering to halt. The mid-stride call is the one that resembles a green that dies under you. If they only call when you look ready, you are practicing a theater stop. Tell them to be unkind about the timing. Three mid-stride stops, then you are done with the hallway for the day. More than three becomes sprint practice, which is a different workout and a worse release.

Centimeter line retired after two flat weeks

If the centimeter number does not change for two weeks and the game landmark does, stop recording the centimeters. They are no longer the bottleneck. If the centimeters improve and the landmark does not, keep them and shorten the game taps. The line earns its place by changing a decision. A line you copy out of habit is clutter. Cross it off openly so you know you chose, rather than letting the log grow until you stop opening it.

Partner instructed to be early rather than fair

Tell the partner that a fair call is a late call. You want the stop command before you look ready. Thank them when the call is rude. If you complain, they will become fair, and fair is the theater stop you are trying to leave behind. Three rude calls, then release them from the job. A partner who feels punished will not help tomorrow. The thanks is part of the drill, said out loud, so they hear that early was the assignment.

Off-game drills and session structure that sharpen stop-on-red reactions without grinding blindly.

[3

post-24","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-game-strategies
["GET
