TL;DR: Structured weekly plan: Mon reaction tests, Tue audio cue drills, Wed full runs, Thu rest, Fri PB attempt. Track metrics in simple spreadsheet.
Monday baseline
Human Benchmark five clicks, record median ms. RLGL three casual runs note deaths count only.
Tuesday audio focus
Five runs headphones only cue trust exercise. Optional mute comparison one run.
Wednesday technique
Test keyboard vs mouse pick winner for week. Stick winner Thursday review.
Thursday active rest
Walk stretch eyes—no game reduces burnout maintains hunger.
Friday PB day
Best physical and mental state day of week for record attempt after warm-up ritual.
Weekend fun variants
Try difficulty toggles or house rules with friends—skills transfer unpredictably refreshing Monday.
Spreadsheet columns
Date, reaction ms, RLGL finish Y/N, death red number, notes one line.
Four-week mesocycle
Expect improvement weeks 1–3, deload week 4 half volume—sports periodization for browser game serious.
Accountability partner
Text screenshot after Friday session—social commitment beats solo diary.
Anchor URL habit
Always practice same bookmark homepage—URL typos to wrong clone sites waste session.
Spreadsheet columns
Date, reaction ms, finish Y/N, death red #, one-line note—four-week mesocycle.
Thursday active rest
Walk eyes—no game maintains hunger for Friday PB day.
Accountability text partner
Post Friday screenshot—social commit beats solo diary fade.
Monday audio Tuesday technique
Structured week prevents random grinding without weak-skill focus.
Deload week four half volume
Sports periodization applies to browser reflex training too.
Monday median from five click tests
On Monday, do five click-to-stop tests in a reaction site you already trust, and write the median, not the best. The best is a compliment. The median is the week’s baseline. Suppose the median is 240 milliseconds. You are not trying to turn 240 into 180 by Thursday. You are trying to notice if Thursday’s game session happens on a day the median jumped to 320 because you slept badly. If it jumped, play casually or skip the personal-best attempt. The number is a gate, not a trophy.
Use the same test site all month. A new site is a new ruler. You will think you got faster or slower when you only changed the page. Write the site name above the first Monday. If the site is down, skip the number. Do not substitute a different test and record it as if it were the same series.
Wednesday attempts that are not allowed to be a best
Wednesday is for full attempts under the tap policy, and the log is landmarks only. You may not call Wednesday a personal best even if you finish. The permission to chase a best is a different day, and naming it prevents Wednesday from inflating. Players who chase every day never have a fresh day. They have a slope of fatigue that they call a plateau. Wednesday’s job is reps at a speakable quality. Finish or hallway, then stop at the planned count.
Friday best-attempt after a warm tap, not after a rest day of nothing
If Thursday was a full rest, Friday still needs five easy taps of movement and release before the counted attempt. Cold hands on a best attempt waste the attempt on the first red. The warm-up is not a secret extra best. It is ugly on purpose: short greens, early releases, no emotion if you get caught. Then one counted attempt, maybe two. A third counted attempt on Friday is how Thursday’s rest gets spent twice. Stop after two.
Sheet columns that stay boring on purpose
The sheet has four columns: day, median or blank, landmark, note. The note is four words. “Late on hallway.” “Finished, taps held.” Do not add a mood column. Mood columns become journals and the landmark column goes blank. The point of the sheet is to see a Friday finish next to a Monday median without a novel in between. If you want a novel, put it somewhere else. The sheet stays a strip of facts.
Blank median left blank when the site is down
If Monday’s test site does not load, leave the median cell empty. Do not type yesterday’s number, and do not type a guess from how your eyes feel. An empty cell is data. A borrowed number is fiction that will make Friday look like a miracle or a collapse. Play the game casually or not at all. The best-attempt permission can move to Saturday this week, still after a warm-up, still after a real median if the site returns. If it never returns, pick a new site next month, not mid-week.
Four-word note that names a place
The note column names a place and a fault: “hallway, long tap” or “cone, clean.” It does not say “frustrated” or “focused.” Those words leak into every row and stop meaning anything. If you want a longer diary, keep it in another file. The strip stays scannable so a Friday finish is visible from the doorway. A strip you must interpret is a strip you will ignore. Test it: can you read the week in twenty seconds? If not, shorten the notes.
Saturday permission that still requires a fresh median
If Monday’s site was down and Friday had no best attempt, Saturday may host it only after a new median from the same site. No median, no counted best. Casual play is still allowed and stays off the best column. This protects the sheet from a heroic Saturday that has no baseline. Heroic days without baselines become the days you brag about and cannot repeat. The sheet is for days you can repeat. Leave Saturday blank if the site is still down. Blank is allowed. Invention is not.
